Close-Approach Guidance for On-Orbit Servicing Spacecraft
During my research internship at the Beijing Institute of Spacecraft System Engineering, I investigated close-approach guidance for the rendezvous and docking of on-orbit servicing spacecraft.
I optimized relative trajectories using the Gaussian pseudospectral method and designed an LQR guidance law for the Clohessy–Wiltshire equations. I also conducted representative mission simulations in Systems Tool Kit (STK) and analyzed guidance errors induced by measurement uncertainty.
This work received the Outstanding Intern Award.
